Navigate to the Sports Acumen Icon

Depending on your mobile phone, SportsRush will install its startup icon in your Applications or MyOwn folder (for Nokia), or perhaps the Games folder (for Sony Ericsson phones).

Start SportsRush

To start SportsRush, just click the icon. The progress bar indicates that SportsRush is communicating over the air with the base server at Sports Acumen.

If you get an error message here, then your phone is either out of range or incorrectly configured.

Login to SportsRush

You've started SportsRush and established a secure connection.

To continue, enter your Sports Acumen username and password (these are the same as you would use to access your Sports Acumen account on the Internet).

From here, you can start placing bets, top up your betting account, and get lots of information about SportsRush.

You can also view your account balance, in this and subsequent screens when you're logged in.

Let's choose Place Bets.

Select Your Sport

Through Sports Acumen, SportsRush offers a huge range of sports and bet types. Scroll down to your choice and select it.

In this example, we've chosen Rugby League.

You should know that the choices on this and all following menus will change throughout each day, as games are won or lost and races are run.  Check frequently, as all menus update in real time.

Select Your Competition

In each sport they may be just one competition, or many. Soccer, for example, offers bets on every major competition around the world including the World Cup.

In this example, we've chosen to bet on the results of the NRL Round 1.

Select Your Game

Within the NRL, Sports Acumen offer odds on both the half time and full time results.

We're interested in betting on the full time results of the Broncos versus Cowboys clash, so we scroll to and select Brisbane v North Qld Cowboys.

Select Your Bet Type

Even within one game, you have choices about the type of bet you want to place.

Because we're keen to wager on the winner of the game, we scroll to and select Head to Head.

Select Your Bet

SportsRush shows you the odds for each team; in this case, the Broncos are favorites at 1.65.

However, we know better. So we scroll down to North Qld Cowboys, where $1.00 will return $2.25.

Fill In Your Betslip

When you've made your selections the betslip is displayed, and you fill in the actual amount you want to stake on each bet.

In this example we've only selected one bet, so we scroll down to the stake field and use the phone's keypad to enter an amount of $20.00.

Confirm Your Bets

Once you've entered your stake amounts, you need to confirm your bets. When you click Yes, your Sports Acumen account is debited by the stake amounts and your bets are registered.

Remember, all this is happening in real time. You can view your bets immediately on the Sports Acumen web site, and they are subject to the same stringent controls, monitoring and regulations as any other bet.

Your Bet Confirmation

When your bets have been accepted, you receive a bet confirmation with the Bet ID and all your bet details. This is sent to your phone when all processing is complete, so you know your bets are on.

That's it! By selecting Menu or Back, you can continue to place bets or log off via the main menu.
